go and make disciples.

Updated: Sep 28, 2019

If there is one thing social media is good for, it’s sharing Jesus.

We have access to thousands of people at our finger tips, yet we don’t often take advantage of the opportunity it presents.  We have the ability to share the Word of God each and every day with every person we are connected with on Facebook or Twitter or even Instagram, so for my fourth post I want to encourage you to join me in sharing Jesus.

Why?  Because He is worthy.

He willingly left his heavenly home and came into a broken world to live as we live, walk as we walk,  and hurt as we hurt. And he did so knowing that the road ahead of him involved beatings, mocking, and ultimately death on the cross of a criminal.

He gave his life for you to experience forgiveness for your darkest sins.  He defeated the grave so you can live forever with him in a place free of sin, anxiety, fear, and sorrow.  Through His sacrifice, He made us children of the God who is limitless.  He He did what you could never do for yourself:

He saved you…because He loves you.

Share Jesus because every person in this world needs to know the love of Christ.  Even sharing about Jesus one time could change someone’s life.

That one time you share about our Savior could be the one time someone needs to hear that they are loved.

The moment you share a bible verse could be the moment God uses you to save a soul.

The night you choose to share about the strength that can be found in Christ may be the night someone was about to give up.

The time you share about finding God’s purpose for your life could be the time someone needs to be told that they are more than a lost soul trying to find their way.

The morning you share about the grace of God could be the morning someone finally experiences that grace for himself.

That one song you shared could be the song that God uses to speak into someone’s heart for the first time.

Whether you share the Word once a day, once a week, or once a month, all that matters is that you do so. We are called to “go and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19), so if you have experienced the redeeming love of Jesus Christ then I encourage you to go and share that love with others.  Share Jesus.
